Content-based instruction develops communicative language skills in listening, speaking, reading, and writing through readings and discussions of authentic Hispanic cultural and literary texts. For students with two or more years of Spanish or an intermediate level of Spanish language proficiency. (Prereq: Junior or Senior Standing) This class helped me to cope better since we have to discuss the readings that the teacher assigned us. We learned about the different ways of learning those that existed in the past and those that we have today. the way in which they teach children is a way in which they allow them to develop their abilities since they learn individually and little help from the teacher since he only takes care of putting the things that the children need and supervises them as they learn. a video that we saw that helped us better understand the concept of learning. The video that we saw was of a girl that the teacher gave her a paper and colors and told her to draw whatever she wanted. The girl after leaving her place thought a lot about what it would be like since she was used to being told that she had to draw or what to do.
