In this class I learned about the importance of helping my community. One of the things that I realized in this class is that we are always so busy thinking about ourselves that we forget to help or serve our community, without realizing that the community is part of us since if in the community there are improvements we will benefit. In this class I had the opportunity to serve in a school that uses English as well as Spanish in order to teach children so that they can feel comfortable using both languages. The teachers who are sorry they didn't know me made me feel welcome in their classroom. They told me what they were teaching and so I could collaborate with them. I was very worried thinking that the children would be uncomfortable with my presence. but the truth is that they asked me for help with great confidence. I tried to help as much as I could and spend time with them both as in their class and after school in the program they went to and there we had to help them with their homework and keep them busy doing crafts so that they had fun it was very nice to share with teachers and children. trabajo_final_8am.docx
